Synopsis
A series of portraits on the opening day of the extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy at the Vatican. People of all kind and from all over the world come as “modern pilgrims".
Each face conceals the marks of a personal history and intimate sins. The shoes, as a symbol for the pilgrimage, reflect the contrast between the spiritual journey and the material actuality.
